    DP SMLE No1 Mk1

Seen this on Gunbroker (296153112) would of been better if the DP had not been removed from the body, and looks like its had a file on the knox form before being submited for re proof.

The fore-end has a crack near the front trigger guard screw, I wonder if this was the reason for the reinforcing screw being fitted.

It would be nice to see an example of the reinforing screw been fitted by Britishicon or Commonwealth armourers etc other than India, as there always seems a stigma attached to these screws.
    Regards Simon

I saw 27 Cadet No4's some years ago, culled from the West Country CCF and ACF and 2 of them ad the dreaded screw while another HAD been screwed but had later been plugged. In fact, I took one off prior to it being reduced to scrap and used it to show the Forum how to remove the screw and almost invisibly plug the hole
