    Too good to be true?

What are people's thoughts on this GI shoulder holster listed on eBay?

WW2 USMC M-7 SHOULDER HOLSTER RIG - MINT ORIGINAL | eBay

It appears just too nice an example.

Attachment 35353Look at the green waxy resadue around the snaps. Exactly what was on my M3 when I purchased it. I vote legit.

Those were my thoughts exactly. The only thing putting me off was the apparent cleanliness of the stitching.

There were literally tons of them still packed that were dug out. Hidden by CIA somewhen in 1950s. Need to ask a friend, he has some of them still in the original packaging, they're really brand new

I've seen the 1916 holster in russet brown in as new condition about two years ago. Surprising really. This one has the verdigris inside the sewn loops where a man can't make it appear. Acid etch is one thing, this is another. I think it's right too.
    Regards, Jim
