    Vintage Sniper Camp Perry

The results were posted for 2012. Does anyone know how to find out the rifles used by the teams shooting? Thanks

I was asking Memeber SNAFU how he did in that comp. and what type rifle/scope combo won the event. He replied " USMC 03A1 Unertls types rule "
I know when I was at last years western games, that is what won that sniper match also.
Man the scope is almost as long as the rifle!!!!!!!

Would suspect so, the 8 x certainly trumps 2+ power. Hope they post a photo album like last year, thanks.

I thought the 2011 match was won by a team using a an m1903A4 (or clone)?
This year (2012) the "reproductions" of the Unertl Scope offered by Leatherewood/HiLux/Malcolm were used for the first time as well as some original Unertls and other long skinny target scopes by Lyman and others. I think what a lot of people would like to know is how well did the HiLux reproduction stand the gaff of actual competition?

i guess its not surprising a target scope would do well in a target match. In combat it was a dubious and short lived choice. To all accounts entering combat in late 43 and the Unertl sniper order was cancelled in February 44.
