    Longbranch sniper?

I've had this a while and would appreciate any comments on its authenticity before I spend any time and money on it.

    No scope or bracket.
It looks like someone thought they could remove the rear bracket by taking out the screws and when it didn't come off they have given it a sideways hit with a hammer. None of the threads have been damaged as a bracket from another rifle goes on ok.

The lower wood, magazine and bolt are all numbered to the rifle.
    Anyone got the missing scope?

You need 2 4BA countersunk screws for your rear pad.

90L8003 is the lowest known serial in the 90L block which I'm aware of. It would have started at the 90L8000 and run thru @8375, though 8321 is the highest number known so far as I'm aware.

You are looking for scope C.No32Mk3 63-C, dated 1945. Good luck finding it!

    Thats awesome!

Your rifle is 100% correct as a 90L block sniper, congratulations...

But just make sure that you re-countersink that ovalised hole before you start putting the screws back or you'll have a sheared screw head to contend with as well.

What is strange however is that I have on my database '63C, missing from original rifle 90L 8003'. So it has come to light in the past but I don't know when from my detabase
