I bought these two bayonets last week and have been researching them ever since, a lot of my searches brought me here, so I was hoping to tap into the expertise here.

The first one is an 1866-ish Chassepot, it didn't come with a scabbard. Most of the maker mark on the spine has been worn away to where I can only make out what might be an E and a number 2 or 8. An E in a circle and and S in a circle on the quillon, an M in a circle on the ricasso, Z 88363 on the crosspiece and two marks on the underside of the crosspiece that I can't identify (pictured)

The second one is an M1891, I haven't found any marks on the scabbard, the crosspiece is marked with what looks like a stylized M and 8961, and the only other mark I can find is a PS within a circle near the muzzle ring. Any ideas? I've seen a few similar PS marks, but not one that matches this one. Thanks!
