This oneis safe to expose, the price is up there.
I just did a search under enfield sight and up popped 2-3 volley fore ends, and the above one looks like new made teak, perhaps. I wonder if there's a new source popping up.

The good news is that they've modified the wrong type of forend-no "belly" in the wood aft of the band. Easy to tell these apart from originals.

Its the same when some use a late manufactured No1 Mk111 fore-end to build up No1 Mk V, and try and pass it off as original, stands out like a sore thumb, and I don't mean the sight protector cut outs being filled in, its the belly or lack of, that always stands out to me.

Steve H is absolutely correct. And take a look at the inletting for the volley site plate under high magnification--really ghastly and defintely not mil spec. Keep your hand off your wallet!

Is it difficult to modify a fore-end with the 'belly' to fit the volley sights? Is there somewhere in the UK that could do it?
