I remember hearing about a surprising number of the captured coastal guys being conscripts from other countries and basically being glad the war was over for them.

If it wasn't for bad luck he'd of no luck at all. Seriously, I would think the treatment was an improvement each time he was captured.![]()
I don't know if it's me or what but that guy by the tank with his rifle lowered almost looks like a Johnson. But maybe it's just a grainy photo.
Looks like an M1to me...look at the front end. You can see the upper handguard.
