Run away dog results in carbine discussion...go figure...

Not too long ago we rescued a Wire Fox Terrier and while she is a sweetie she is also an escape artist. She made the Great Escape a couple of weeks ago and as we were looking for her I ended up chatting with the neighbor behind us.

As it turns out he has a carbine that he doesn't really know a whole lot about other than the fact that a buddy cleaned it for him a number of years ago and complained about there being a lot of cosmolineicon to clean off.

From a cursory inspection standing in his driveway the gun was in very nice shape.

He was a little curious about the markings on the barrel and I mentioned that I might know the place to get an answer or two.

BTW...sorry for only two pics. I didn't want to freak my neighbor out by taking a bunch of pics of his gun. I did invite him shooting so more may be coming.

That's an import mark on the barrel... maybe 'FEDERAL INC.' Federal Ord was in S, Monte. If he decides to go shooting he might want to install a rear sight.
