M1905 rifle value?

Dear folks,

Since I wasn't able to find help with Google , I was wondering if someone here could help me with the value of a Springfield M1905 rifle (this is the version already for the M1905 bayonet, but still in .30-03 caliber).

Were there any for auction within the last years which you remember?

A legitimate M1903 modified to M1905 standards, is usually considered more rare than a Rod Bayonet M1903. Just a guess, and a lot depends on condition, history and other factors, but probably in the $30,000-35,000 range. Do you know of one?

The last M1905 rifle I saw was on an internet auction several years ago and sold for around $2700. I know of two that are currently for sale by their owners in the $5,000 price range. But neither has an original stock and handguard.

M1905 rifles are rare and desirable. But the big issue is convincing a prospective buyer that it's real. A rod bayonet rifle speaks for itself. But when the only major difference with an M1905 rifle is 0.2" in length, it's hard to get excited and convinced.
