    Mystery 'Bren' Sling

    Hi,

I got this sling as part of a job lot of stuff and it was described as a "Bren sling". To me it looks like it's been put together from a Mk2 S6 respirator haversack strap, two '58 Pattern poncho roll hooks and a padded bergan strap. I can't find any markings.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? A chap on another forum says he has two similar examples.

    Cheers,
    Mark

Mystery solved: it's a shoulder strap for a Clansman radio ancilliaries bag. Allegedly they are sometimes used as an unofficial sling with a GPMG or an M249 - can anyone confirm or deny this?

The only alternative Bren sling we used was the standard GPMG sling
