    Winchester from a local show

I got this Winchester Saturday at a local militaria show. It came with a M1907 sling and accessories in the buttstock. Including the sling and accessories that are probably worth around $100 together the package was $1600, so figure $1500 for just the rifle. Expensive compared to CMPicon prices but reasonable compared to the $1000+ asked for not-Winchester mixmasters I see at gun shows. I bought it from a guy I've bought other items from in the past including a No. 4 Lee Enfield, couple of nice bayonets, and a Japaneseicon grenade, so he knocked $100 off the price as a "frequent buyer discount".

I haven't seen a follower rod like that one before, is that average for a winchester?

Mine is not far off yours and has a lot of the same parts. Nice looking rifle.

    Winny

Everything I see looks great ... but no good pix of the gas cylinder. Is it Dulite blue? That's the key to any WRA M1icon.

This is the only picture I took of the gas cylinder.

There is no finish left on the bottom half of the gas cylinder.

Wow, that is nice! I have Winchester ser-nr 2350849 so we are quite close as well. A lot of similar parts! Single slot gas-plug? And is the rear barrel band stamped? If I remember correctly mine is milled....

edit: I made athread about it, check it out if you're interested
Took some pictures of my Winchester M1
