I'm going to do someone a favor... Type I band screw

I believe my Standard Products Has a longer Type I band screw in it's Type III barrel band. If someone needs a type I screw, send me a Type III screw and I will send the type one screw back to you. I'll do a pic after awhile.

I'd like to take you up on that offer. Let me know if I'm not already too late, and I'll get some close-up pictures of the screw that I have and email them to you. - Bob

It's yours. As long as it is GI screw, it will be fine. Give me an email address and I will send you a picture of the screw I have to see if it is what you want.

The screw shank alone is almost 5/8", about 1/8" longer than a screw on a type II (cut down Type III) I have in my parts stuff. Just figured it is a shame to waste it on a Type III band when someone (like USGI) has a Type I band languishing without a proper screw!

That one looks a bit short for a Type 1, and when I found the one I planned on trading - I'm not positive it's USGI. I PM'd IMR that I decided not to take it. I sure appreciate the offer, though! I think the "exchange" idea is pretty cool. Thanks again! - Bob

Sorry about the false start guys. I will stick with the one I have. It is probably original, as the threads on it are upset at the end. Silly me assuming it was a type I screw. It is just under 1/8" shorter than the Type I on my Inland, but still longer than the screw on my Type II/III band.
