    Help!

I am desperate for some assistance, any assistance from anyone with a closer relationship to MURPHY than I have.

I need someone to distract him for a while, lately he's been giving me curry, I can't find anything, parts go missing and only reappear when I've replaced them, you name it, it's happening.

Please get him of my back....please...please.......

There are two ways of handling this:

    1) go berserk looking for everything, meanwhile losing track of something else.
    or
    2) relax and worry about something else. As soon as you show that you don't care, the first part will turn up.

Some people claim that one could tidy up the workshop instead. Like many theoretical arguments, this betrays a serious loss of contact with reality!

    Sage advice.
    May I add?
    3) Replace what is lost and what was lost will turn up, or wait a bit and the replacement and the original will be lost. Replace a third time and use immediatly and two spares will suddenly appear.

Yeah, a spare security camera surfaced today, $350 and 3 months later, the missing new replacement screws for a customers No.4 T scope mount are outstanding and are beginning to worry me as they are not that easy to find replacements for.

Spend an active weekend hand-carving replacements. Then the originals will turn up!

Look at it positively: if you (and I) keep on losing tools, and buying replacements, then there is more to discover when you are looking for something completely different!

I think it's in there somewhere:

Probably may not be in here (The other wall is nothing but tooling and metal stock...) as much of this pile of $&!^ has been cleared out...

Wait, what was it that was lost?

My God man! There's a machine shop in there. I see a lathe I could have used a bit ago, I'd have just had to come get it...
    Regards, Jim
