    Mauser Butt Marking?

On my 1939 K98icon Mauser there is a marking on the left side of the steel roundel
that passes thru the butt stock.
It is - N 3xxx k -. Can anyone tell me what this stands for? Maybe Kriegsmarine??? thanks.

    Yes, a naval stamp:

    Nordsee Station 3xxx.

I do not know what the k signifies.

Thanks Patrick, i`m very glad to learn this. Maybe someone else will know what the `k`
    represents. Best, Phil.

Could you post a photo of the roundel + stamp? The style of lettering and figures can sometimes help to confirm/contradict the identification.
