.50 M2, probably modified for semi-auto. Or maybe just an FN-FAL or variant.

    Sgt. H. A. Marshal's (of the Calgary Highlanders) Longbranch No.4 (T).

Failing that any reasonably priced WW2 issued Longbranch No.4 (T) would do.

In all of the pictures I've seen, Marshal is clearly NOT using a LongBranch T.

You can see the bolt release in some pics, and others show the brit/savage relief area around the forward pad.

Few LB Ts made it into the ETO defore VE Day. I've never seen an identifiable pic of a LB T in the ETO.

My "dream" production milsurp is a No4MkI*(T) w/C.No67.

Someday I'll beat that other guy to the draw....

Oh thought it was a Longbranch. I couldn't tell the difference unless I read a Enfield and it said "Longbranch" or something else on it though.

Well then I want what ever Britishicon No.4 (T) he had.

    my dream milsurp

For me there are two, and without a doubt it would seem that I can afford neither
First is the M1918 BAR Of course this would be the dream of a lifetime. Strangely as a C&R I am allowed to own one The second is the M1icon Garand The cheapest price on these is $500. I even thought about offering my M1917 US Enfield in trade, but I'm told that such folly is useless. Oh well one can dream

Around my neck of the woods paulm a 1917 depending on shape goes between $650 to $800 and it's possible to make a swap at the gunshows. M1icon's at te CMPicon go from $500 to a little over a grand. I have seen them for $1200 to $1500 depending on shape or someones fantasy of it's real worth. I picked up an H&R service grade at the North store a couple weeks back for $600. I've seen rifles not near as nice for $800 to $1200 at shows.
