This one is late war, could even be after the war was over judging by what he's got on. He's wearing double buckle boots that didn't start getting issued until mid to late 44. Alot of paratroopers refused to give up thier jump boots for a standardized issue boot. He's also wearing the M-44 pack system which I don't think ever saw combat in world war 2. Don't quote me on that...haven't been into field gear since my reenacting days.
