Rock-Ola update

I am closing in on finishing the Rock-Ola restoration and things are looking real good for the 608 beauty. I had to find a round bolt, Type II band, Trigger housing, front and rear sights, hammer, trigger, safety, sear and mag release. The other parts were correct for the rifle. The barrel gauges at .75 and looks nearly unfired. I took some lousy pictures but it shows the overall picture. I have found a correct stock, buttplate and handguard with beautiful correct cartouches(a king's ransom) and it should be here next week. I can't wait to fire the carbine! I still need a correct magazine release(help appreciated) and the project will be done. I'll post more pictures with a range report when the stock gets here. Regards, Rick.

LT-Q or LT-R hammer is correct.

And the LT-Q has a good chance of having a R stamped on it. Read CC #372,thanks Brian for the write up!

Hey Rick,
This has absolutely nothing to do with your hammer..........
But I once opened 2 Sealed NIW RockOla triggers that had no RockOla markings. Both bought from Numrich (IIRC).
Both had the punch marks we see on them but that was it except they had been polished/grinded on top.

I recently read somewhere that the B/R hammer (in square and circle) was a replacement hammer made by B( ) & R( ) Co., and had no connection with Rock-Ola. I believe a CC newsletter may have been cited but I don't know. Maybe a more knowledable forum member can confirm or refute this.

Also, Riesch (5th Ed.) says KR and KR2 marked Type III hammers are Rock-Ola. Has this now been disproven (he also said B/R was Rock-Ola)? My Rock currently wears a (replaced) KR2, but I have at least one original KR in the box. Any good info appreciated.
