hello everyone. see some familiar folks from other forums here. have a couple of questions. i own a 1903A3, a 1903 and an M1icon Garand. what is the easies and best way to clean the chamber of these rifles? i figure i am going to need some chamber brushes but where can i find good ones and not the repos? also i need a remington 1903 rear sight. mine has no markings and has some side to side play in it. also, what is the recommended cleaning of the gas pistons in the Garand and M1 carbine?
    thanks in advance

Chambers......I have an aluminum pistol cleaning rod ( one of the ones that came with a new S/W revolver ) with the end bent into a right angle . Use 45 caliber tips on the 30-06 and 9mm in carbines.
Pistons .... carbine , just wipe down with solvent . Don't dissassemble unless an emergency , too easy to strip threads or crack gas blocks . Garands , same but I scrape the carbon off with a razor blade knife . Be sure to hold flat across entire face , you don't want to gouge or round the edges ( don't know if the blades are hard enough to hurt , but I don't want to find out either ) . Rest of rod tip just gets solvent soaked patches.
Has worked for me for over 30 years.
