Nice one Warren! 1923 was one of the two rifles they were missing at the Lithgow Small Arms Museum for the Rising Sun display. I lucked onto a sportered 1923 for a few dollars a while back that still had it's original barrel, not FTR'd. I located a Qld Maple foreend and had the right sight protector and nosecap, and quickly assembled it to original form and contacted the museum. They had only a month before received one donated from a US based collector, so I got to keep mine

When I say the barrel is totally had it I get asked why I don't stick a new one in it.... bloody heathens!

Can you post a full length pic, mate?
Here's mine, a restoration and unfireable, but I won't be parting with it
