Very nice M1903A4 for sale - badly described

I was just looking through the rifles at gunbroker, when I discovered this rifle:
    Springfield 1903 03-A3 30-06 : Semi Auto Rifles at GunBroker.com

Described as a M1903, this appears to be a very nice M1903A4 rifle with all the cartouches still in place and struck deeply. Only bad thing is that it's lacking the scope, but that's the easier part to get.

Maybe someone here might take the chance .. ?

Thanks Promo, I call myself looking at GB for potential good deals, but I probably would have missed it!

I put the first bid on it, lets see if I can afford it!

    Cheers

Nice looking rifle. I recently bought one very similar, though that one is in a little better condition than mine. Good luck.

FWIW s/n 4,992,626 appears in SRS Records as having been part of the CMPicon 1999 Inventory.
UNfortunately those records contained little detail however CMP might have more. Not sure wht there policy is on releasing sales details.

    Regards,

    Jim

Possibly a little late for a "C" stock, although it is a real A4 stock. It has the SA rebuild cartouche on it.

m1903rifle, I hope you find this one more to your liking and don't put me out of the game; honorable auction competitor!

    Cheers

Would have been a perfect match, was just being gifted two Weaver M73B1 scopes by yesterday. Visited a closeby collector, he had those among about 40 other scopes in a drawer and when I pulled out those he told me I can take those with me, he doesn't need those anymore. While one only comes with the scope rings, the second also has the plastic lense covers (without leather string) and the correct scope base (which is lacking one screw).

Wish you best luck tom, hopefully we'll see a ton more pictures when you've won the auction!

    Tom,
Document your communication. Seller has 21 negative comments and 10 neutral. The rifle however, looks great.

Thanks Allen, long way to go to see if I even have deep enough pockets for this puppy, if it goes to high, I may have to sell some of my lesser 03 collection for this one!
I have never had an A4, and I am in the middle of project creating a high-end faux A4, which I have put on hold.
And I hope (or prefer to believe) those 21 negatives out of 1,557 sales means he has run into his fair share of dumb *** buyers.

    Cheers

P.S. I already have a set of original 1903A4 GI parkerized 7/8 rings for this mount. (And all the other Redfield rings made for it, just for fun) Next I will hopefully need to look for an Alaskan and/or a Weaver K2.5
(Yes I know those are two different ring sizes)
