Results of shooting my military rifles

Here are the results for several of my military rifles. All shooting was done at 200 yards outside using the bed cover of my truck as a rest. The X ring is 2.5" across:

    L39A1 with iron sights. Three types of ammo: M852 at 12 o'clock, M118LR at 2 o'clock and M118 at 5 o'clock

    K31icon using GP11 ammo

1898 Kragicon Rifle using a Speer 180 grain RN (.312" dia.) over 42 grains of IMR4350. Group is at 6 o'clock. The group to the right is with a 174 grain Sierra Match King with the same powder charge.

Damn 200 yards with iron sights! I wish these old eyes could see that far. Nice work.

Now I'm going to challenge you to do better. Put a single point sling on that L39A1, climb into the prone position and lay down single shots, adjusting for the wind on iron sights.

Well Maple Leaf, that's the plan. Once the sights are repaired and back on I'll be trundling this old girl out to Range 1 at Fort Meade, MD, where the wind can make a grown man cry.
