    Flap Holster ID

Can anyone shedder some light on this holster? It looks like the average 1911 flap holster more or less but doesn't come close to accepting one but a High Power fits like a glove. Is it military issue or a repro?

The holster is a mid 1960"s vintage made by Bucheimer Leather Co, made for the 1911A1 .45cal, mainly used in Vietnam. Not 100% sure, but could be a M1916 version.

Like he says, looks like a standard Bucheimer...they didn't have the best reputation for fit sometimes. It's also very new. The .45 would shoehorn in and fit after some break in.

Need help on ID of another 1911 holster

This is a very old Model 1911 holster, can be used as a shoulder holster or used on your hip, there is a pouch for an extra clip too. It is a well made holster but unmarked - might be WW1 or post WW1 time period ?Attachment 41735
