Could you tell us who the maker is Win., Rem, or Rem Eddystone. I know that Canadaicon ordered 25 Winchester P-14's in 1936 for the 1936 Bisley team, and the only one I've ever seen was in mint condition with the PH 5b sight, and a ball burnished barrel. Not sure if the Brits used these as well, but could be. Are there any of the factory stock markings left remaining on the right side of your butt stock?

I looked at very faint markings on butt stock right side. I found AW in a circle with a star at it's upper right. then below the circle is the number 14 Then above all of this is a very wide broad arrow. muzzle of barrel is marked BSA target barrel made for Parker Hale,Birmingham 4 Englandicon. then there is the BSA stacked rifle motif.

Sounds like a Winchester Stock. there should be the Roman numeral 1 beside the W and present itself as IW in the circle. The star meant it has the revised bolt with longer left lug and corresponding machined relief around the chamber area, which would make this rifle a Winchester P14 Mk1*. Does the serial number have a W prefix in front.
At any rate, it appears to be a P14 target rifle for use in Service rifle Matches. They appear to be more common in the U.S. than Canadaicon. I`ve been looking for one for some time now but no luck yet.

    Nice Rifle.
