    Sht.LE Mk.III with metal fore end.

    Check out this beauty.



    Once you get past marveling at the customisation, take a closer look and note the metal fore end.
    Hacked up and sporterised. It appears to be a wood/metal composite.

    The owner has just recently picked this one up, no history. He tells me that the metal is an aluminum casting.
    I did read somewhere about about some experimentation with metal by Enfield but never seen any example of such.

    I invite you to share your thoughts.

    Very odd. But the fit at the buttsocket interface and around the trigger guard suggests that it was a "home brewed" job.
