Israeli Model 1930 .22 Cal Small Bore Trainer Restoration Advice Needed

I hope this is the proper site

I recently acquired a .22 Cal Israeli Model 1930 Small Bore Trainer.
Unfortunately it has had some Bubba work performed on it. The stock has been cut back below the middle barrel band and can't be salvaged.
I would like to restore it but need some advice from those of you with experience in this area.

Here is some of the damage the two holes on the right side of the receiver for the rear peep sight I can live with. I was disappointed with the three holes drilled in the side of the rear sight base, and the missing retaining ring for the top wood. When I asked about it before Christmas the guy said the ring was intact, but no mention of the holes in the receiver and rear sight. The seller and I came to a fair and reasonable settlement and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.

I am looking for your advice on how to restore it as close to original?

The rifle closest to the camera is a complete .22 Cal Israeli Model 1930 Small Bore Trainer.
The other two are Belgian Cal .22 Model 1924 Small Bore Trainers. Farthest from the Camera is the Parkerized Naval model and middle with the blue/black finish is the Army model.
