    Bren shortie/crimp nose blank.

Does anyone out there in Forumland have details of the slight modification used in Canadaicon/Canadian Army Brens body/feed ramps to enable it to properly feed short/crimped nose blank correctly from the magazines specially spaced to accept the short blank?

It is in the Canadian EMER's and I know it was done because we had the EMER at the big joint Base workshop at Wetter/Germanyicon where many og these guns were modified. Canada used these BFA Brens for many years in BAOR after we'd gone to L4's and they were using L2 rifles

I have the EMER here but can't seem to find it!

It's the drawings referred to in Para 4c that I need to refer to. The range testing etc is a bit academic. Thanks

I've sent the drawings and diagram of the tool to check the receiver to two or three on the list in the UKicon .....they still should have them.

Come on........ own up........ Who's got Warrens drawings? As I said, I have them 'somewhere'. Someone local is converting a gun to use them and came to me because the blank round case shoulders seem to hang up on the ....... anyway. That's the reason why the main gun body needs to be relieved.

Kev: I was sure I sent you a copy with all the Canadianicon BFA stuff a couple of years ago. Now I have to dig into at least 4 drawers of the filing cabinet.....
Sure you don't have them as your filing is much more precise than mine. One of these days I must digitize them and learn to use folders and files on the computer to sort all the stuff I have here. I recently did find a microfiche reader that I can use to open the thousands of plates I have on the Bren.
