    Could someone please I.D this bayonet i just picked up from a flea market

    Could someone please I.D this bayonet i just picked up from a flea market,the only marking i can find is a kings head,

    i think it's a Germanicon 1st world war sawback butcher blade bayonet, is it a 14.5" blade ? or it may be a Martini Henry P1875 Sawback Bayonet

    Thanks SVT you were spot on with the Martini Henry 1875 sawback sword, it appears its a Mk1 trials version that was never adopted for general army issue

    The blade is Germanicon made but is the bayonet is an UKicon 1875 model
    mant of these were made for volunteer units (similar to US national guard) and show no military acceptance markings .
