.30 Army Blank Smokeless

I have some Winchester 20 rnd boxes made for the Krag Jorgensen and Winchester repeating rifles {according to the boxes} they are white paper and brass W.R.A. Co .30 Army. I am curious to know what they were used for I have some idea but would like to hear from others, I have acquired a large amount of M1 Garand blanks with the red paint on the tip of the blank cartridge in the en bloc clips in the cloth carriers with the original stamped { 480 cal 30 cartridges Blank M1909 IN8RD Clips Bandoleers Lot LC 13551} steel ammo boxes. I am curious about their use and any other facts available. MNtrekker
