13-182 Korea Chosin retreat - link added

Marines of the 5th and 7th Regiments, 1st Marine Division, receive the order to withdraw from their positions near the Chosin Reservoir in North Korea after repelling a surprise attack by three Chinese communist divisions. Photo was taken Nov. 29, 1950, two days after the Chinese entered the Korean War by throwing 200,000 shock troops against Allied forces. DoD Photo by Sgt. Frank C. Kerr, USMC.

My son told me he read the US left so much behind in their retreat from NK that the Chinese who had converted to Russianicon cal's by this time gave the booty to the Viet Minh who used it against the Frenchicon for countless years. I wonder if some was used against the US when they got drawn into that quagmire.

Pretty silly not to light a few fires before retreating to keep the commies from getting the loot.

The book was "On the Street With No Joy", Bernard Fall.

Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
