I always quite fancied owning an FR-8 after seeing many photos and reading many discussions about them on US forums. Unfortunately it seemed that the vast majority of them were exported out of Europe and, apart from one FR-7 many years ago, I'd never seen or heard of one in Britainicon.

Shortly after deciding that finding one was likely to be a non-starter, I found one at an auction that dealt with a lot of firearms imported from private, foreign collections. Didn't expect to win the bidding on it, but I did.

Anyway, the issue I have with it is that it's zeroed very, very high. You have to aim-off the target to get it shooting anywhere near your intended POI. It would be an easy fix, but I just can't get hold of a sight adjustment tool.

The tool is pretty common in the US, but all the dealers I've found selling them don't do export. It isn't, to my knowledge, a restricted part. Assuming I'm correct about the 'not restricted' aspect, could anyone recommend a dealer that would export one to the UK?

Supposedly it's fairly simple to make your own? It's not something I could do, but if it isn't possible to import one, I know a few guys that could make one if provided with the details to do so.

Whilst on the subject of the FR-8, does anyone have a favourite load for theirs? What sort of load was the service cartridge?

Thanks very much for any assistance.
