    L42A1 IWS Batteries

    Those of you that are lucky enough to own an IWS for your L42 might find the following useful:

    Costs a lot less to make! Just machine a casing out of something like hard rubber, fix a terminal at each end and instal five AAA batteries connected in series. 7.5 volts - mine works perfectly.

    There were in fact TWO sorts....... The first, made as Terry suggests and the second, using 5x flat nicad type batteries in series. Both easy to make.

    To be honest, they're hardly rare............. They're still in the VAOS catalogue! I BET that Bristol Batteries still stock them
