G' Day!
I recently purchased an Enfield 1916 Mk III* at a gun show. It is pretty nice, but was missing the rear sight protector (Have one on order). The recvr SN matches the barrel, the bolt body, the nose cap AND the forestock. Unknown if stock is original or if number was stamped at rebuild. There is an " E '35" stamping on the left side of the barrel at the breech. All other markings appear to be Britishproofs.
The rifle shoots very well and am able to get hits on a large steel target at 500M.
My question for you guys is what is the best sling to use with this rifle for target shooting? I have used the M1sling....which is probably the best....and the Kerr sling, which ended up being too short. A long 1907 sling could probably work, too.
Is the British style sling usable for target shooting?
Look forward to your input and suggestions.
Thanks,
