Can anyone tell me if there is list of the date of manufacture of the M1A by serial number?

A good place to look is M14 Forum - M14 Forum for M14 M1A Rifles . there is a sticky with "made on" dates by serial number, also use the "search" feature. I've found it to be a great site for m14/m1a specific knowledge.

I have #2179 It is a NM. Do you think Springfield would have any info on it?
