What era do I have here?

Just got a bayo and metal chisel point scabbard. Belt hanger has a round brass US oranament on it and has on the back, "Rock Island Arsenal 1908".

Bayo is pitted so no markings are visible. I assume it would have had US on it. Blade is 17 inches long and triangular. Recycled Civil War bayo?

AF, can we see pictures of your bayonet and scabbard? From your description they sound like Indian War era.
