Didn't know that. Should have because I have read alot of history books. And Im irish by blood. Doh.

Like Sweden and Switzerland, the Irish played a most gallant and honourable role in the war against fascism. Even to the point of adopting the German steel helmet and officially wishing Hitler a happy birthday only a few days before the Russians arrived. Personally, I´ll be laying a poppy wreath at the local Russian war memorial tomorrow.
