    This is what I would consider to be the minimum number of pictures necessary to describe an A4. More is always better but these fews are a good starting point.
    Fully describe all markings on the visible parts of the metal and on the stock - including the s/n.

    This site lets you post photos directly just watch that the image size does not exceed the specs;
    As an alternative go to an internet photo site like photobucket.com - post the pictures there and then post links to these forums.

    Folks,

    Thank you. I listed it with some of the pictures. Tell me what you think of the old girl.

    Just looked - A very nice example of a rifle that was probably only used very lightly and sent for a minor rebuild.
    Barrel is the proper date.
    Bolt and Scope base are correct.
    Stock is the proper type for that time frame.
    Springfield Armory rebuild marks on butt stock.
    The milled trigger guard and detachable butt plate are from an M1903.
    The stamped barrel bands and butt plate are correct but would have been blued as opposed to parkerized.

    Still and all a very nice example and well worth hunting down the few parts needed for a retoration,
    Only about 10% of A4's made were in the so-called "Z" Series so that is worth something.

    Thanks!

    Jim
