I just purchased a 1916 BSA Lee Enfield No.1 MkIII*. The buttstock appears to be walnut and the fore stock and handguards beechwood. I'm wondering if it's recommended for me to disassemble the rifle and oil the stock? I have no idea when it would have been last oiled. I've been reading about stock care and raw linseed oilvs BLO
. Should the forestock be removed and soaked overnight? I've been collecting mosin nagants but I'm new to Enfields. It's a beautiful rifle and I want to care for it properly. Any input would be great!
