Distinguished Rifleman 1966
President's hundred 1965
Marine Corps. Cup 1965
What is that gadget on the front end?
T47 rifle, came very close to replacing the M1 but not that close. The gadget on the front end locks the muzzle attachment onto the bayonet stud at the rear of the flash suppressor. Same as the M76 grenade launcher when attached to the M14flash suppressor. Will see if I have a photo of the M76
Attachment 46562
Photo shows attachment at rear that pivots forward or backward and used to lock the launcher to the flash suppressor
