Info on my British P.07 Bayonet?

Hey Guys, new to the forum just wanted to show my Bayonet which I believe was made by Sanderson which it says on the bayonet itself was wondering if anyone had any more info about it? I got told that it used to have the Hooked Quillion on it but was grinded off by one of the soldiers because it kept getting caught in their uniform haha dont know how true that is. Also a possible value would be nice

Iam no expert but by 1918 they did not make a hooked quillion. Others will have to give value.

He's quite right about the hooked quillion being ground off before that date. They were removed before the war for the most part. The scabbard appears to be an early one with the teardrop shaped stud. The value depends on exactly where you live. BAyonet Collection Presentation Here's more info. I live in Australia. Thanks for the info. I got it because it matched the date of my 1918 ShtLe .303 even thought the rifle was aussie made hahaha

I understand you're in Aussie, it will take someone from there to tell you what it's worth. The value of them here in Canada is irrelevant. The bayonet is a good honest used example...

I think it was something like 1913 that all existing 1907 hooked bayonets had the hook removed and post 1913 new production bayonets were made without.

quite right on the quillon - never had one , its also got the clearing hole in the hilt , a later version , interesting blanco frog - is it a current reproduction ? vintage would be really dirty me thinks

The frog is totally incorrect for this bayonet. It looks like it is a white Nylon parade frog for the SLR range of knife bayonets.
