    Unknown Bayonet, Possibly British????

    Hi,

I have this bayonet that I have been unable to identify. I have searched all my books and as many places as I could find online. It seems closest to an 1856 Britishicon bayonet, but I can't find it exactly. Overall length is 23.5 inches. If you need anything else let me know!

    Thanks,
    Phil

a couple of times, but only when its a socket or one unknown in the books, the more common ones like this very seldom and then because i have been too quick and answered without looking to confirm frm my collection. THis is one of the earliest additions to my collection. The crossguard is very distinctive and used on a lot of blades used by Portugal
