    Yes, it's the real deal & looks to be originally matching. Note it also has an ash cheekpiece which is common on 1944/45 rifles (though beech is commoner, all told). The ash looks much like oak & I think it's much nicer than beech............but that's just me!!

    Nice Brunofix finish as well. Which means it has not seen enough service to have require much maintenance. Might hurt the ol' walllet, but it's nice!

    You can buy mine complete CES dated 1945 for £4900 off Gunstar currently iof that falls through. I can give you personal testimony to back up its authenticity too.
    It is a dream rifle, I am only selling it to consolidate in 7.62.
