Nice rig but a bit pricey for a mis- match, IMO. It's possible to find an L42 for that money, in fact one sold on gunbroker a couple weeks ago for $5500. If that's the rifle that belongs in that chest it one of the ''scopeless'' T's that was never finished by having a scope and bracket fitted and won't have the T on the side wall. It would need to take a trip to Brian Dickicon to have the bracket fitted correctly to really be right as a shooter.

Thanks. I recall seeing quite a few of them sold without the scopes years ago. Seems like Springfield Sporters had them????

Imported by Hercules Surplus Limited in Toronto in the 1960's. I knew the old boys, (brothers), that owned that place. A beauty.

Yep, an honest mis-match, but certainly the real thing IMHO.

It's a nice rifle but I doubt it will sell at that price. The L42 on GB has a lot more going for it and it didn't sell at $6,000. He dropped the price down to $5,600 an it's still not selling.
Here it the states people aren't shelling out the big bucks like they were in the past.
