Guys here's one in Aus showing the prices we are having to pay an L42 A1 was on sale on this site for $13,000.oo Au so commiserate with us how over inflated the prices are in AU.
The L42 came with everything this one is just a bare rifle but the kicker with this one is a Mk I scope can Peter L shed any light on this the only thing is the year of the rifles Mnf is not stated though the serial is so the gurus will be able to track is provenance.

    Merry Xmas to all

Makes the HT Sniper on the same site look more than reasonable.

The difference is that NO-ONE will ever buy that (No4T) rifle for the advertised price, somebody "Tell him he's DREAMING"

Serial number seems a bit suspect to me, unless it's 1941 Maltby.......

    Merry Christmas happy shoppers.

There were several No4T's sold here in the last 18 months or so for around 4.5 to 6 grand. One dealer had five or six at Penrith over 12 months ago for 6 to 7 and didn't sell them. Finding prices on the higher end stuff are about ten or more percent down on what they were two years ago. Probably a little more realistic price wise now, but still nobody is buying.

My suggestion if anyone is in the market, call them and make an offer. If they need or want to sell, then they will negotiate. If not, they are speculating and not fussed if it doesn't sell at the end of the day.

A mk1 scope on an L42 without serious modification is a non runner right from the start. It just wouldn't match 7.62mm trajectory anywhere along the range. A bit like shooting 8z from a No4T. You CAN, but it ain't going to equate to anything!

New Aussie Member - No4 T Oz Prices

    Hi all,

Just joined the site and jumping in with my first post. Very impressed with the knowledge and depth of resources available. I have been looking for a No4 T for a while in Oz and have become a little disheartened by some of the over inflated prices. Doing the exercise and looking at overseas options to spread the net a bit wider but that doesn't really get me any further in front - exchange rate/shipping/GST/Customs/dealer fees etc etc. I guess many of you have covered the same ground? I think i will put an add in the classified section and see what happens. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
    Luke.

If it helps on a realistic price, I have just sold my 1945 M47C NO4T in its right chest with FULL CES, to a guy in Holland for £4900.
That in my opinion is where it should be, but is still expensive.
Of course when you sell a rifle of this pedigree to make way for another, with similar breeding from the same stock, you have to add up what you would get if you sold the bits off one by one on fleabay or where ever at todays jumped up prices!!! It gives you some idea anyway, and I think it was a fair price.
Buy the rifle not the history!
