I have an old Lee Enfield No.4 T Rifle butt / L42A1, on the underside of the grip is a red paint marking, and then covered over by yellow pain marking. I was wondering does anyone know what this means, or could this be a unit marking? Is this a REME marking? Any information on this would be much appreciated.
