    The dent is almost gone!

I replaced the standard carbine buffer in my ar-15 with a H buffer and the little dent I used to get in the brass all but disappeared. I know that this dent didn't hurt anything but it just annoyed me a little.

In actual fact, there ARE AKs with firing pin springs to minimize primer impact. Was a particular problem with the first .223 AKs which also had the big f.p. tip diameter. "Kabooms" and blanked primer cups made for all sorts of drama.
