This IWS has just come up on 'that' site with a buy it now. I know its not cheap, but there's not a lot of them around:

SLR LIAI IWS Night Sight In Working Condition | eBay

An opportunity for someone to get the ultimate accessory for your L42 or SLR

Not even complete either but there's a softee bag from the case on that site (mentioned on the forum somewhere else) I would ask to guarantee the tube for a year before |I purchased it. I realise that it's USE that knackers tubes as opposed to AGE but AGE means that can be misused more by the clowns who switch them on in daylight '.....just once, to see if it works....'

Peter - what are the restrictions in place in the UKicon on the exportation of this type of item?

More out of curiosity than anything.

    Thanks

I'm not sure that there's anything really especially with the actual age of this early stuff. But I know that getting it INTO another country can be problematical! As I know from first hand experience, taking one into the US

Sounds like a story to be told there Peter.

I will check Canadianicon importation requirements, but from past experience non firearms have not been an issue.

The problem as I seem to recall it is that there ain't one if it is simply 'night vision' But once 'night vision' comes with a graticle then it becomes a #night sight' and is thyen something more sinister.........
