    My 03

As I am new to these forums I figured I would show off my rifles in the appropriate places. So this is my Springfield.
    MFG. date 1921
bolt dates to 1942 (I believe)
has a U.S.iconM.C. barrel with S inside circle dated 10-43 minty bright bore.
Got her as a barreled action and built it up.

These picks were taken before Chuck in Denver did a very nice reblue on the bolt.

Very, very nice......lots of character! Mind that split at the back doesn't develop further though, hate to see a great original stock like that put out to grass.

I have actually since replaced that stock with a different one. The first pick has the better stock on it. The barrel was like new had a 1 MW very accurate. It's finally warm enough to hit the range so I'll have some results today.

I was at first worried it was one of those infamous sarco barrels but much to my relief it was nice and straight

The only issue I have had is I believe there is a repro sight collar on it. a few times after shooting I had to use a mallet to bump the collar back a little. I couldn't find a hole on the collar for the pin to go.

Can't help you there...can't see it from here. If there's no pin, you may have to do it yourself. Or, find an original.

Yeah that's what I figured. I have been keeping an eye out. The hardest thing seems to be finding the pin itself. I know Numrich sells them but they have been out for a while.
