What do you think of this No4?

Austin : Lee Enfield War Era Mark 4 Trade or Sell : Bolt Action

I have something he would be willing to trade for. What do you think of this rifle? Does it really count as a "Green Paint" rifle since it is I guess "rebuilt"? I emailed him and asked him about the "ZF" mark. He asserted as he does in the ad that it has been "fixed" but that all the parts are matching and correct. I guess what I'm really asking is it even worth taking a look at?

ZF removed?! I wouldn't give it another thought - walk away from it.

What is a ''green paint'' rifle? I always thought the best of the No.4 bunch were the ones selected for sniper conversion.

Mikesm44: Not a lot in that description makes sense. There's way too many good ones available from reputable individuals and dealers to gamble on a story like that. The only "green paint" I've heard of is the anti-rust paint you see on guns from India and elsewhere in the tropics but now when I go to sell my No. 5 I'll have to call it a green paint rifle!

    A green paint Enfiled.....

This is a "Green paint" rifle which was supposed to be one of the better rifles in the Enfiled bunch. Umm I guess Peter L will be able to explain this term mind you I do not know or have ever seen an "Enfiled" perhaps it was a secret Russianicon deal between Churchill and Stalin at Yalta!

ZF - means exactly that who did what and where to repair it to a supposed shootable condition, pack up ya kit bag and move on better weapons out there besides this seller is a walla.........
