    correct hammer for NPM 4,245xxx

    Not certain what the correct hammer should be in this carbine as I have had it a number of years. The hammer in this carbine now is a late I H

    Barrel is IBM CORP front sight SN
    slide is heart cut UN Flat bolt blued N14 trigger housing N8 push safety NS

    Mag catch MN - might be incorrect ? sear LN Rear sight S

    single rivet handguard TN recoil plate LN

    stock is hi-wood TRIMBLE TN in oval cut cartouche is NPM over FJA next to crossed cannon

    IBM used only type 3 hammers
    marked WMB-GMB-AMB

    Bolt should be round

    March/April of 44. The round bolt (type III) came in around serial number:
    Inland 5 mil
    Win 5.6 mil
    Underwood 6.1 mil
    Rock 4.6 mil
    Qhmc 4.65 mil
    SG 5.84 mil
    Npm 4.4 mil
    Ibm 3.9 mil
    IP,S'G' and Stan Pro- no use

    Flat Bolt is correct for NPM 4.24, MN mag catch is correct. Hammer would be NH

    Thank you for the data. Forgot to list the front band is the early Type 1 with three small tack welds and unmarked, the swivel is stamped U I
