CZ24 Photos, etc.

Picked up an earlier CZ24 so shot some photos of both currently in captivity.















If the video link is working, the delay between the first and second shots was due to the slide not closing fully, due to the aluminum cased ammo. So minor malfunction drill ensued.The miss at the last plate was operator error!

Not much experience with video, please excuse the primitive set-up and no editing!

Guessing that the light colored streaks in the grip were done during sharp edge removal along the grip's top.





The safety works a little differently on the two pistols shown in Post #1. The earlier verson can be applied with the hammer down, preventling the slide from cycling as the hammer will no longer pivot to the cocked position, thus preventing the chambering of a round.

The later pistol (late '30s) will not permit the safety to pivot downwards when the hammer is at rest.

Nothing earthshaking about these handguns except the build quality. Exceptionally nice. Trigger pulls are fantastic. Recoil is minimal, unlike most the usual blowback designs. Sights are perfectly regulated.

The barrel locking system seems very derivative of the Steyr M12 (Steyr Hahn). But better executed.
